Here’s a question for you…

Do your deepest fears, mirror your deepest desires?

Consider this for a moment, what you fear is not always what you’re afraid of, but what you crave. And you fear, you will not get it.

Let’s talk through how to fix this…

The Want Hidden in Fear

Everything has its polarity. Male and female. Good and bad. Even your fears.

  • Fear of Failure reveals a desire for success and achievement.

  • Fear of Rejection uncovers a longing for acceptance and belonging.

  • Fear of the Unknown signals a craving for adventure and discovery.

So take a look at your own life.

Grab a pen and paper, and write down things you’re truly afraid of.

And then write it’s opposite, next to it, on the other side of the paper.

Recognizing this connection will help you figure out where the challenge really lies.

Not in removing the anxiety, but in chasing the desire.

You want to know how to eradicate an anxiety…?

Find something you want more than to be anxious.

Find something you want more, than that thing.

Usually?

It’s the mirror image.

The mirror image you keep running away from.

So How Do I Change My Behaviour?

Just work backwards. Reverse engineer the system.

Like we’ve mentioned before…

Thoughts → Belief Systems → Habits → Behaviours

Start right at the beginning.

The thoughts.

Are you focused on what you fear, or what you want?

The key is to not want, the anxiety.

You have trained yourself to feel you need it.

Now, say these words to yourself, every day this week.

“I am not my anxiety. It is my pattern. And now, the pattern no longer serves me. I am choosing to build my new patterns.”
